Wednesday nights are the TV doldrums, so I tuned in to a “Nature” documentary called “The Private Life of Deer.” Once I started watching, I didn’t wast to change the channel. I’ve never seen a live deer up close; anyone who has is very lucky. A friend sometimes sees deer in his backyard, which faces Rock Creek Park. A lot of people don’t like deer because they eat the flowers in their gardens.
I have since learned that the guy featured in the PBS show wrote a book about his experiences. I’ll review that in another entry.
Meanwhile, here is more information about white-tailed deer. And even more from Outdoor Life magazine. And this is why, if you see one in the wild, to think twice before rescuing it.
But, I also couldn’t resist this YouTube video. Enjoy!
